Every year, at the end of October, the historic center of Lucca hosts an event dedicated to comics, animation cinema, illustration, and gaming: the Lucca Comics and Games. The importance of the event exceeds national borders; it has now become one of the most anticipated in Europe.
The Lucca Comics and Games takes place within the medieval walls of the city. This place, already magical in itself, becomes even more fascinating when its avenues are invaded by people participating in the event. Many enthusiasts arrive in the city wearing the costume of their favorite character. Simply strolling through the historic center, one has the opportunity to meet many superheroes and other characters from films, comics, and video games.
Visitors of the Lucca Comics and Games greatly appreciate the festive atmosphere and fun that is created when all these characters gather in the city.
